A PADUCAH PORTFOLIO

After writing and talking about this for the past year it is finally about to happen.  The file is at the printer and I'm hoping to be holding a book in my hand in a few weeks.

The book, 8.5x11", will be bound with a hard cover, and contain over 100 paintings and drawings in full color 66 pages.  Approximately 80% of the artwork in new, completed in the past 12 months.

The price is $35.00 plus 6% sales tax for KY residents.  HOWEVER -  for a limited time I am offering the followe=ing a prepublication special:

For Kentucky friends - $28 plus $1.68 tax.  Total - $29.68

For out of town friends - $28 plus $5 S&H.  Total  - $33

I've given myself about 4 months to complete the artwork for this project, and with the month of January about to end, a tiny bit of panic has seeped into my usually very well controlled and organized thoughts.  (At least I think of them as being controlled and organized.)  But, refusing to give in to even the slightest bit of panic, I will continue with my well planed and organized work schedule.  (Yes, I think of it as well planned and organized.)

The truth is...I am having fun!  There is always something new for me to do, a new subject, a different medium, a new size, or perhaps a new group of photos to take.  Here are several recent additions to the Portfolio:

One of these days I will get back to the acrylics, maybe evens some large canvases, but until then...I am Paducah bound.

THE ART OF PADUCAH

It seems like I'm spending as much time in the kitchen as in the studio lately, which is good for my spirits if not my waistline.

However I'm still working out there, just on a smaller scale. The acrylics have been put away for awhile, replaced by pencils, pens, and ink. My latest project is the creation of an iBook of paintings and drawings of Paducah, combining old work with new drawings. I hope to be able to announce a "publication date" soon.
