NOT EVERY LANDSCAPE NEEDS A TREE

I thought I would be working on a series of paintings of a "solitary tree", depicted in various colors and moods. I completed these two canvases and decided that one of them did not need anything but the horizon. The other, after looking at it all afternoon convinced me it would be helped by the tree.

Both canvases 36x36 $2500 each

Oh you need to update your website. Next month they start paying the hubby extra because he will be in Iraq for more then 12 months and we decided some art for our living room would be a good way to spend some of it. :)

Are you finally seeing the light? How may times do I have to say it? No trees, no barns...

I never would have thought about leaving the landscape treeless... but I think you're absolutely correct about both of them. What color...

Just catching up on your blog and I love the foggy morning photograph!
The colors in your tree picture remind me of when I was in Kenya.
