I painted my first acrylics. I was tired of spending so much money framing pastels and clay mono types and decided to work on canvas. Reviewing pics of the the early work and I was struck by the similarities of my first 2 paintings and the last 2. I guess we don't always change as much as we like to think we do.

Yes even in 2004 you had your own impressionist style of painting.
The sky of the first one - magnificent! Yes, i know what you're talking about, my pastels began to look like my oils after a while (only more detailed and less bold). I think acrylics will fit you well, because of your use of strong colors!
Similar in feel and equally as beautiful.
