OUT OF CHAOS

If at first you don't succeed.....well you know the rest. Earlier this week I definitely did not succeed with my first two attempts at this painting and was forced to reconsider my approach.

botched canvas after I smeared and rubbed all the paint I had applied.

work in progress - beginning to feel there was hope for this piece.

$2500
Finally there. Acrylic - 24x48". (Having some difficulty capturing the blue-black sky in all of these photos.) But I'm quite satisfied with the results of the painting.

My next task is to start a new canvas and make another attempt at creating the image I originally planned on.

I feel like the botched canvas today, like I have created chaos in my work life. Any advice on how to get to that last beautiful canvas you created? I love this post because it tells a great story.

Amazing how you can make something so beautiful out of something so ugly. Thank you for coming last night. I wont tell Patience you were flirting with Maria. At least you didn't kiss her on the mouth.

Aynex, Your are going to give my readers the wrong impression about me. When have your ever known me to flirt? I am simply a very friendly man, and as for kissing, well I just don't know what to say about that.

The only thing more exciting than last nights reception was your art. The quilts were fantastic. (so is your friend Maria.)
