Big government v Small government=BS

Bull shit, this is what we get when partisans attempt dialog. Republicans accuse democrats of wanting big government to smother the country with its bureaucracy, and democrats counter with republicans wanting to give the country away to corporate greed as they worship at the alter of the “free market’.

Why can’t there be rational dialog about “good” government, a government that is active in areas that call out for attention and one that does not interfere where it is not needed. I don’t believe that in this immensely complicated country of ours that a single ideology can presume to deal effectively with all the issues. There are problems that demand a progressive approach and there are those that would benefit from a more conservative one. But as long as it is a game of one party vs. the other, this will not occur. In its place we get a constant stream of name calling...tax and spend liberals v. greedy CEOs, or war mongers v. unpatriotic wimps, and on and on ad nauseum. Compromise has disappeard from out political system.

I can only hope that the rest of the country is as fed up as I am of this idiotic, adolescent behavior by so many of our elected officials.

Partisan politics... mixed media
