AN INFORMAL SURVEY...

How many times a week, or month, do you eat pasta for dinner? And when you do, is it a one dish meal, or is it part of a larger meal?

Thanks for your input.

We eat pasta three times a week for dinner, and perhaps twice a week for lunch. Have not yet had it for breakfast, unless you count cold lasagna the morning after?

Pasta is the main dish most of those times, we seldom have pasta as a side at home. We use all shapes and sizes, but both of us have preferences...and so we see capellini and ziti and fusili a lot more often than linguine. I only make my own pasta a couple of times a year, when we are making ravioli.

Sunday sauce gets made in bulk and frozen. No matter what day it gets made. On lazy days, the salad goes on the plate first without any dressing, everything else goes on top, and it becomes Pasta with wilted greens :)

I took a survey of the refrigerator and freezer, and there is a total of 7 pasta varieties, with two dry pastas in the pantry.

Dr. Renzulli....do we eat too much pasta?

Oh, and the dogs almost always score the leftovers.

Eat too much pasta? I never heard of such a thing.

It appears our kitchens have a great deal in common. Thanks
