PASTA...AND THE NOBLE QUEST

That’s it! The decision has been made and there is no turning back! Until I run out of options we will be having pasta for dinner every night we are at home. I am determined to prepare pasta every which way possible, and in doing so, providing us with a healthy meal. Think about it…pasta with fresh veggies, or seafood, or beans, or any number of meats. The sauce could be red, white or somewhere in between, with tomatoes, or wine, or cream, or all three… I gotta stop here for a minute, I’m getting hungry and it’s only 10:15 AM.

I intend to document my progress with notes and photos as I make my way through pasta land, using borrowed recipes as well as my own creations. (Just as in art, I’m learning that all cooking is derivative.) And to allay any concerns you may have, I have the support of my very understanding wife, bless her heart.
I will officially launch this most marvelous of quests on Monday, May 2nd. First I have to use the frozen pot roast in out freezer, unless I can figure out how to use it in a pasta dish; I already have a pasta plan for the leftovers.

Wish us well.

In order to dispel the rumor going around that my mind has been hijacked by some nasty pasta virus, rendering me incapable of focusing on anything else but pasta...I offer this work in progress as proof of my total sanity.

That is not a quest. Don't you do that already? The real quest would be not to cook pasta at all.
