OLD HOUSE, FINISHED

Old House acrylic on canvas 24x36

I have 2 canvases in progress, building on what I learned from this latest painting. In each one my intent is to introduce more abstract elements throughout the work, but preserving its "landscape" essence. Does that make sense to anyone?

Makes total sense to me. This is a stunning painting, Bill...I love what you did with the sky.

My husband commented on your art the other day and how much he liked it. He's got excellent taste!

I think the "creek" in the foreground is a very nice touch and makes it a great composition. Looking at your work is always an educational experience.

Yes, yes, and again, yes! This is a wonderful piece. Great balance of sky and land, with the house as an anchor ... this is one of my favorites, and I bet you won't have it in your gallery for long!

Bill, I clicked on the digital to enlarge it, and saw so many more colors and wonderful texture. I love it!

Yes, that makes perfect sense, to be able to capture the essence of a vision without painting every blade of grass!
